Mont Saint-Anne Ski Trip
POTUS organizes each year, before the winter semester, a weekend of ski at Mont Saint-Anne. It’s a great way to enjoy your last days of break! More details
PT/OT Orientation (Frosh) is a one day event organized by POTUS that takes place approximately one week before school starts. It is an orientation day designed to welcome the U1 students. This event is an opportunity to meet the other students with whom you will be spending the next three years with. It is a day of fun-filled activities, games, scavenger hunts, karaoke-singing, and pub-crawls!
QY Housewarming Wine & Cheese
With the restructuring of the physical and occupational therapy program, a Master’s degree is now required for practice. First year Master students who have attained different Bachelor’s degrees will be joining U3 undergraduate students in all their professional courses for their “qualifying year”. As an integrative initiative, the QY Housewarming Wine & Cheese is organized to welcome our new colleagues.
World Physical Therapy Day takes place every September 8th, while October 27th marks World Occupational Therapy Day. To mark this occasion, physical therapy and occupational therapy students rally on McGill University campus, promoting and increasing awareness of our respective professional fields. O’Tea is a one day event where students serve bagels and tea to PT/OT students and faculty members to celebrate our professions.
To celebrate the completion of the students’ Bachelor’s degree, an annual graduation ball is held. It will be a night to remember for all!
Our annual PT/OT Fashion Show is a fundraising event for the graduating class’ annual Graduation Ball. Students from all years will participate in choreographed dances while showcasing sponsored clothing. Volunteer to be a model/dancer or simply come to enjoy the show!
Every year, students are invited to go sugaring-off at a traditional “cabane à sucre”. The Sugar Shack event includes a classic, all-you-can-eat dinner of ham, bacon, scrambled eggs, sugar pies and, of course, “tire sur la neige”! This night of maple syrup and dancing is not to be missed!
As a tradition started by the PT/OT class of 2011, the Chalet Get-Together is a biannual event held at the end of every semester. A night of bonfires, singing and relaxing with good friends is the best way to celebrate a semester’s hard work.
